People laugh or roll their eyes at the fact that I’ve got an emergency preparedness kit for a potential apocalypse scenario, but let’s consider a few things:

-SOPA / PIPA bill in the US could break the internet as we know it
-Occupy movements, and general political unrest, doesn’t show signs of giving up, no matter how ineffective they (currently) are against un-fucking our respective countries. I mean, I love you guys, but we were fucked from the outset.
-Financial institutions having trouble with finances
-Government institutions unable to govern (but they bicker really well)
-Are we screwed with depletion of natural resources yet? How close are we?
-Science progresses really quickly these days, doesn’t it?
-Everything causes cancer.
-Why are US troops headed to Australia? Syria has a civil war? What’s this about Iran still making nuclear material? Egypt is still having trouble?
-What was that thing the Mayans said about 2012? I wasn’t paying attention.
